tautiniai žaidimai statusas T sritis Kūno kultūra ir sportas apibrėžtis Kuriai nors tautai būdingi žaidimai, atspindintys tam tikro laikotarpio žmonių troškimus, džiaugsmus ir sielvartus, jos papročius, kultūros, charakterio bruožus. Lietuvių tautiniai žaidimai minimi jau 880–890 m. Tautiniai žaidimai skaidomi į grupes, atsižvelgiant į įvairius požymius: pagal žaidėjų amžių – vaikų, jaunimo, suaugusiųjų, pagal socialinį luomą – miestiečių, valstiečių, amatininkų, pagal žaidimo turinį – pramoginiai ir apeiginiai, pagal tautosakos pobūdį – dialoginiai, dainuojamieji ir mišrūs, pagal dinamiką – ramūs ir judrūs. Iš kai kurių tautinių žaidimų išsirutuliojo šiuolaikiniai klasikiniai sportiniai šokiai. atitikmenys: angl. folk games; national games vok.
